My New Year's Resolution

Hello Everyone,

It's been my intention for awhile to start a blog. The major hurdle was thinking up a title--though I like the one I've come up with (a collaborative effort, thank you NPR and Carlos :) What do you think? I hope I can be a little creative with it. Here's my basic idea: write as often as I can a post that would fit on your average post card and put up an interesting picture to go with it. This picture in particular is representative of a New Year's Eve tradition I discovered in Portugal (and later in Peru as well) of eating 12 grapes at the stroke of midnight. I've just eaten more than 12 grapes off of this bunch that I picked up at Metro on my way home. They were really good: sweet and seedless. So that brings me to my point. My New Year's Resolutions for 2008 stand as such: 1. Start and maintain a blog. 2. Get certified in Spanish. 3. Get certified in Portuguese. To make these work I'll probably be posting in two or more languages, depending on my audience and to keep practicing written dicourse. I should probably tack on something for my physical health--like run on a regular basis or learn how to surf (for real this time). That's all for now. If you don't know me and you're reading this hello, it's nice to meet you and you will get to know me better as I fill in the blanks in future posts. And if you do know me I hope you enjoy what I write. About you! Haha, j/k! But not really, so do keep checking in to read what I have to say about the goings-on in my life.
